The Sawtooth, White and Overcup Oak
trees that make up our hardwood bottomland along the banks of the Tar River,
Fishing Creek, Swift Creek, and Deep Creek here in Edgecombe county, North Carolina, provide
a superior habitat for
wild turkey, offering a natural food source and safe
roosting sites. We also maintain a variety of food plots, including chufa,
a spring mix of small grains along with numerous clover ridges for bugging and
strutting areas to attract and maintain a heavy wild turkey population.

North Carolina allows turkey hunting on
the day designated as YOUTH TURKEY HUNT DAY statewide on private lands for youth
hunters, less than 16 years of age, by permit only. A properly licensed adult,
at least 21 years of age, must accompany each youth. The adult may accompany
only one youth during the hunt and the youth hunter may only have one weapon.
All North Carolina hunting regulations apply. Please visit the
NC Wildlife Resources Commission Web site for further information and
licensing requirements for hunting the
Eastern Wild Turkey In North Carolina. Please call our toll-free number at (866)
614-7281 and talk to one of our guides to make arrangements for a hunt. We
require a 50% deposit to make the reservation. All major credit cards accepted.
